The Money Construct

No-one loves you, remembers you
just for working hard.

The money construct. What was your relationship with money when you were younger?

I didn’t have a relationship with money. I was never aware of it.

There’s a trick I’ve been playing on myself lately. I wake up and forget about money. It’s like the lifting of a great burden, a great weight. I feel like a different person. But lasts for about as long as it takes me to put my socks on.

  1. i laugh at the timing of this post Jonathon. i have just put my socks on and thought i won't be able to get off the hill today because the check won't arrive until tomorrow so i will do things around here. i have always felt a somewhat "happy disregard" for money. i think that is how the line goes. but i have pushed it to the limit sometimes. i don't get so freaked out anymore but it gnaws at me a little.

it's a new day, there is a fresh blanket of snow. i have enough wood and food. it all looks good.

  2. Robert, you're a man after my own heart. Hope your socks are fresher than mine. I spent lunch time writing some words to go with your 'Door Reflection'. Great photo. Maybe it'll find its way into Gardening Leave someday... Snow, wood and food. Sounds ideal.
